About me
Hi, my name is Paul. I got into 3D printing around six years ago. What pulled me in was how cool it felt to take an idea from my head and turn it into something real that I could hold.
I still enjoy that same mix of creativity and problem-solving today. I like printing 3D characters, and I also design functional parts that solve small problems around the house.
My 3D printing experience
A lot of my hands-on work involves cutting models into parts that are easier to print, sculpting models, and preparing files for FDM printers. I especially enjoy multipart projects that create detailed, colorful results without making the printing process harder than it needs to be.
That experience is a starting point, not a limit on what I cover. PrintNexus is meant to explore 3D printing more broadly, and I'm always learning about new tools, materials, techniques, and workflows as the site grows.
My printers, slicers, and design tools
I currently print with three FDM printers: two Bambu Lab machines and one Sovol. I use Bambu Studio for slicing and have worked with PLA, PETG, and TPU.
For design and modeling, my experience includes Blender, Plasticity, and Fusion 360, which I used in the past. Each tool has a different place in the workflow, from sculpting characters to building practical parts and getting models ready to print.
How I test PrintNexus content
I work through every tool and guide myself to make sure it is understandable, useful, and ready for someone to rely on.
My full process for researching topics, testing tools, reviewing content, and handling corrections is explained in the PrintNexus editorial policy.
Where to find my work
I share my work through Nexus Labs on MakerWorld. My profile has grown to more than 3,500 followers, and I've published over 130 models there. That includes character designs, multipart and no-AMS prints, and quite a few parametric models I built in OpenSCAD so other makers can customize them.
